Oklahoma's Building Codes: A Foundation for Energy Efficiency
In October 2009, the State Energy Office of Oklahoma and the US Department of Energy accepted OSN's proposal to use American Recovery and Reinvestmant Acts funds to update Oklahoma's building codes and promote energy efficient construction technologies across the state.
Energy Efficiency: A Priority Project for OSN
Since 2007, OSN has been working collaboratively with numerous stakeholders to draft rules on energy efficiency for Oklahoma's electric utilities, and on the 15th of October the new rules will be in front of the Corporation Commissioners for a decision. Oklahoma's good economy and growing population means we're using more and more electricity every year, but unfortunately we're currently ranked 44th out of 50 states on efforts to improve our energy efficiency.

Energy Efficiency and Demand-side Management in Oklahoma
OSN's goal: To elicit a final set of rules from the Corporation Commission that requires ambitious, verifiable, and sustainable demand-side management programs that will substantially reduce the growth of energy consumption in Oklahoma.
